As an Approved Programme Provider for the WSET, The Cambridge Wine Academy offers WSET Level 1 Award in Wines, WSET Level 2 Award in Wines & Spirits and WSET Level 3 Award in Wines classroom based courses, as well as a Distance learning programme for those unable to attend the classes. All WSET courses lead to globally recognised and government accredited academic wine qualifications.
The Cambridge Wine Academy also offers The Cambridge Wine Academy Beginners Wine Course which aims to give those new to wine more confidence in choosing wine in shops, bars and restaurants. During the course, you will be introduced to the major grape varieties and wine regions of the world and learn how to taste wine and put your sensations into words. You will learn how to decipher a wine label, store and serve wine correctly and how to pair food and wine successfully.
WSET Level 1 Award in Wine Course in Cambridge
This hands on introduction to the world of wine is ideal for beginner’s and covers the basic styles of wines, main grape varieties, how to store and serve wine correctly and how to pair food and wine successfully. The course makes an ideal gift for a friend or family member with an interest in wine.
WSET Level 2 Award in Wines Course in Cambridge
Our most popular course provides you with a detailed look at the best known wines and spirits of the world, focussing on grape varieties and wine regions. During the course, you will taste 48 different wines and develop your wine tasting skills using the WSET systematic technique. A basic knowledge of wine is recommended before attending this course. Upon successful completion you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin.
WSET Level 3 Award in Wines Course in Cambridge
This challenging and rewarding course is for individuals seeking to delve deeper into the world of wines and offers a detailed understanding of grape growing and winemaking. Throughout the course you will taste over 70 different wines. On successful completion you will be able to assess wines accurately, and use your understanding to confidently explain wine style and quality. You will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin, and will be able to use the associated WSET certified logo and call yourself a wine expert.
